Dr. Ben Barnett – Pastor
Tammi Barnett – Women’s Ministry
 

 Ben and Tammi are high-school sweethearts and were raised in Roanoke, Virginia. Ben and Tammi have been married for 22 years and they reside in Fayetteville, Georgia with their three children: Peyton (18), Trey (16), and Jordan (13). Ben graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1990 as a distinguished graduate and captain of the Army football team. Tammi graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a B.S. in Psychology.

Ben and Tammi have served in the full-time ministry for 17 years. Ben holds a Masters of Divinity degree from the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University and a PhD in Holistic Theology from the American Institute of Holistic Theology. Ben and Tammi’s passions and areas of focus are staff leadership, marriage and family ministry, and the teaching ministry of the church.

Mike and Shelly Pope – Minister to Youth & Marriage Family

Mike and Shelly Pope are both natives of Dayton, Ohio. Mike attended Tuskegee University and later graduated from Wilberforce University, his wife Shelly graduated from Wright State University. They married in August 1992 and have two wonderful daughters, Evan, 14 and Erin, 7. They moved to Atlanta in 1996 and were baptized into Christ in 1997.

Mike was called to serve in the full time ministry in 2000. He and his wife lead the West Cobb ministry of the Atlanta Church of Christ for 3 years. In 2005, he and his family moved to Snellville, Ga to lead the Children’s, Middle School and Teen ministries of Stone Mountain ministry of the Atlanta Church of Christ. In June 2006 he was appointed as an Evangelist in the Stone Mountain ministry.

Duane and Brenda Torrence – Elder

Duane was born and raised in Milwaukee , Wisconsin . Brenda was born in Alexander City, Alabama, but was raised in Milwaukee , Wisconsin . Duane attended the University of Wisconsin-Janesville , and the University of Wisconsin-Madison . Duane was also in a band Black Society in the early seventies.

Duane and Brenda met in 1978 and were married in 1982. They have both been disciples for over 14 years. In 1992 they moved to Georgia and currently reside in Marietta , Georgia . Together, they have 4 adult children, 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Phil and Kim Proctor – Elder

Phil grew up in Washington , D.C. and later moved to Columbia , South Carolina . Kim was born in Yuma , Arizona and grew up in Oceanside , California . Phil & Kim met at the University of South Carolina in 1982 and were later married in 1984. While attending USC, Phil graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism while Kim holds a degree in Behavioral Psychology. Phil is currently self-employed in the broadcast industry where he has 28+ years of experience and has won an Emmy for his work.

In 2003, Phil was appointed an elder in the Atlanta Church. Phil and Kim have been married for over 25 years and became disciples May 1996 in the Atlanta Church of Christ. They have two daughters, Nichole and Brianna, both baptized disciples. Mutually, they love to travel and spend time with their families. They believe their role as parents has allowed God to use them as shepherds in His kingdom.

In their free time, Phil loves sports, grilling and playing his bass while Kim loves going to the movies and reading.
