What is the Chemical Recovery Ministry?

The Chemical Recovery Ministry is a spiritual program of recovery for those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction. While we firmly believe that addiction affects a person physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, it is the spiritual aspect of recovery that we address as the root addiction. Our definition of addiction comes from the Bible. In Romans 7:14 - 20, Paul writes, “l do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do… For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do - this I keep on doing” NIV. We accept and understand that without Gods Power; we are truly powerless over our addictions.

The Chemical Recovery ministry has been instrumental in facilitating many people nationwide to achieve sobriety and go on to become an asset to God's kingdom, their communities and their families. We believe that in order to recover from chemical addiction there must not only be an abstinence of mood altering drugs, but a total recovery of every area of our lives. In this ministry the bible is the foundation to achieving total recovery. Chemical Recovery meetings are open to everyone. The only requirement is a desire to get well.
