Ben  and Tammi Barnett - Staff Leadership, Marriage & Family

Ben and Tammi are high-school sweethearts and were raised in Roanoke, Virginia. Ben and Tammi have been married for nineteen years and they reside in Fayetteville, Georgia with their three children: Peyton (15), Trey (14), and Jordan (11). Ben graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1990 as a distinguished graduate and captain of the Army football team. Tammi graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a B.S. in Psychology.

Ben has served in the full-time ministry for 15 years and holds a Masters of Divinity degree from the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University and is currently completing a PhD in Holistic Theology. Ben and Tammi’s passions and areas of focus are staff leadership, marriage and family ministry, and the teaching ministry of the church.

Kit and Terrie Cummings – Congregational Care & Worship

Kit Cummings was born and raised in the Atlanta area, and graduated in 1989 with a business degree from the University of Georgia. Kit went into the full-time Ministry in 1990, was appointed an Evangelist in 1993, and served in the Atlanta Church until 2003. After 5 years of corporate work, Kit has gone back into the Ministry, and now serves as an Evangelist in charge of Congregational Care.

Kit is happily married to his wife Terrie, and they have four children– Justin, Ben, Cole and Laina. Kit serves as Chaplain for the Atlanta Union Mission, and also as an Associate with Kairos Prison Ministries. His passion is to help men transition from prison and the streets, back into society as healthy, recovering, productive citizens.

Kit also works with the Chemical Recovery Ministry, which helps people who are overcoming alcohol and drug addiction.

Scott and Thereasa Kirkpatrick – Small Groups, Singles Ministry

Scott & Thereasa Kirkpatrick Graduated from Wingate University and Denison University respectively and became disciples of Christ in 1996 as singles in the Atlanta Church. Thereasa became an intern for the Atlanta Church serving the singles ministry.

Scott and Thereasa together became full-time ministry staff in 1999. They were married in December 1999 and are now blessed with three beautiful girls. In 2004, The Kirkpatricks moved to serve with the church in Stone Mountain, GA and continue to be active in the singles ministry in Atlanta.

Mike ans Shelly Pope – Youth & Family

Mike and Shelly Pope are both natives of Dayton, Ohio. Mike attended Tuskegee University and later graduated from Wilberforce University, his wife Shelly graduated from Wright State University. They married in August 1992 and have two wonderful daughters, Evan, 14 and Erin, 7. They moved to Atlanta in 1996 and were baptized into Christ in 1997.

Mike was called to serve in the full time ministry in 2000. He and his wife lead the West Cobb ministry of the Atlanta CHurch of Christ for 3 years. In 2005, he and his family moved to Snellville, Ga to lead the Children’s, Middle School and Teen ministries of Stone Mountain ministry of the Atlanta Church of Christ. In June 2006 he was appointed as an Evangelist in the Stone Mountain ministry.

Jennifer Goodwin – Administrative Assistant

Jennifer Goodwin was born and raised in Chicago , Illinois , and graduated from Clark Atlanta University in 1991. Jennifer became a Christian in the fall of 1992 in the Atlanta University Campus Ministry. Jennifer has worked in the administrative field for the last 13 years. After serving in various ministries in the church, she became a part-time administrative assistant in 2007.
