The Board’s role is to ensure that the assets and resources of the church (contributions) are used to advance the Mission of the church in acceptance with the tax-exempt purpose of the corporation.

Board Requirements

All not-for-profit corporations are required to have a board of directors to oversee its financial affairs.  Our bylaws require that members of the Board be faithful, baptized disciples of Jesus who serve as deacons or elders (or are biblically qualified to serve this way).  They must have the desire and  God-given gifts necessary to serve and each must characterize a personal commitment to the values of our church.  These directors have responded to the teachings of the Bible, have been baptized into Christ, participate in the body of Christ (church), are connected with other members in significant relationships, support the church as they are financially able, and are recognized as members by the evangelists of the Atlanta Metropolitan Christian Church.
