Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:2-3

Sunday at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel

• We will be meeting at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel at 10AM, starting October 4th until the end of the year. This week will be a “Bring Your Friends and Family Day”.
• Self parking attached to the Westin is free (first come first serve, so come early). Valet parking at the Westin is $10.00, or park on the street on off-site parking lot. If you park in the self parking, you will need to get a parking pass from Jennifer Goodwin or the ushers. You will then need to turn in the pass on the 4th floor to the attendant. The attendant will give you another one so that you can get out of the lot for free.
• We have finished the due diligence process (testing and approving God’s will) at Morris Brown and with prayer, and consideration of the physical, spiritual, and emotional well being of the church, we will not be signing a long term lease.
• While we are in the hotel we are still looking for a permanent facility. Please pray for a permanent place, that is cost effect, reverent, centrally located, safe, and accommodating to a growing ministry.
• We will meet with our house churches / community groups for midweek service (starting in October through the end of the year) and meet once a month as a congregation for midweek. Check back for specific dates and times.

Community Group Leader’s Meeting

• We will have a leaders meeting on Sunday October 4th at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel at 2:00 pm (the room will be announced on Sunday). Please come with your personal goals for your group. Please make plans to attend this important meeting to discuss plans for the remainder of 2009.

Pictures

• We will be taking photos of the community group leaders, deacons, and staff on Sunday, October 11th at 9AM. Please dress to impress.

Prison Ministry

• We are participating in the Agape Cards and Letters to prisoners from children at Hays State Prison where Kit volunteers. Please encourage your group to have their children bring cards or letters on Sunday and give them to me, please use only the children’s first name.

Missions Contribution

• We will be collection Mission Contribution for local and global missions on Sunday, November 22, 2009.

Musical based on Priscilla and Aquila “ A Better World”

• The musical has been moved from, October 17^th , to December 4^th and 5^th will be held at the North River Church of Christ. Rehearsals are on Thursday If you are interested in attending a rehearsal for a “sneak peak”, please contact Sharon Jones at 770-714-5005.

Women Outreach

• Terrie Cummings and Tammy David are asking for volunteers for My Sister’s House which is part of the Atlanta Union Mission. Please contact Terrie at terriejc47@hotmail.com.
