What Motivates Us to Love God’s Word?

* All Scriptures are from the New International Version (NIV)
The goal of bible study is to have fellowship and walk with God through his word, to bring God glory and to live a life worthy of the calling we have received, and to be wise to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
(2Co 5:14-15) For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
(Col 3:15-17) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Consider the following scripture:
(Ja 1:22-25) Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (1:23) Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror (1:24) and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. (1:25) But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.
Reflection and Obedience are the two keys to experiencing and learning the word of God.

Looking for information on Mission Contribution for this year. Had a few House Church members inquire after seeing it in the Tuesday night recap. Is there more info to come regarding the plans? Thanks!
